If you have ever been working with me, you know what I mean when I speak about the crash state.
Its an acronym that comes from Generative Coaching:
Contracted
Reactif
Analysis paralysis
Separated
Hostile/ Hurt
It’s a state of being, a state of mind, a state of awareness, of consciousness, where you feel Contracted — in your mind, in your body, in your thinking.
You feel Reactive.
You feel stuck in Analysis paralysis of the situation.
You lack visibility and don’t see opportunities.
Your window of possibility feels very small.
You hold a fixed mindset.
You feel Separate.
Alone...
Disconnected from your resources, from your creativity, from your guidance, from people around you, from God, from Source, from the Universe...
And you feel Hurt.
Sometimes even full of hurt and hate.
I believe it’s normal to experience Crash state.
The goal is not to live a life without crash — because crash is human, and it can even be necessary. We can learn from it.
But, what I often say is:
"The problem is not being in a crash state.
The problem is how many times per day you fall into it, how long you stay there, and which coping mechanisms or strategies you use to get out."
One of the biggest challenge I’ve found through my many years of working with these concepts — is that in the crash state, as you feel so separated, you also feel cut off from your resources.
The very same resources that could help you get out of this state suddenly feel out of reach. They seem far away...
Sometimes I even see clients forget that they have learned certain practices — a breathwork exercise, a simple shower, a walk in nature — things that could really help.
But in that moment, they don’t have access.
It’s as if the mind is blocked, and it feels impossible to reach for what could bring relief.
What I find useful — and very simple — is to create a List of Resources that help you come back to a more centered space, and keep it accessible: on your phone, on your fridge,
anywhere you can easily see it.
And share it with a Ressource friend or family member that could help you remember.
And sometimes the best resource you can have is your own capacity to feel your emotions, to alchemize them, and to learn from them. This is what I teach my clients.
So I invite you to reflect: what helps you shift out of a crash state?
What small, simple things reconnect you to yourself, to your body, to Source?
Write them down, make them visible, and give yourself the gift of remembering that you always have more resources than your crash state wants you to believe.
And if you need support to help you create a list of ressources, or expand the one you already have, I am here for you.
